After years of ongoing discussions about our dream of traveling around Australia, during holidays in 2019 we decided that the right time for us to get a caravan will be once we turn 40. As we planned around school and work commitments we picked mid 2021 as the target time to start our 6 month lap of Australia. Patrick will be 3, Sebastian 11, Marcin 43 and Ania 41. Little did we know that the world was about to be turned upside down with the Covid-19 pandemic and that any plans put in place will need to be changed or that availability of caravans, cars or any equipment will be very limited.

Following the Victorian lockdown yoyos in 2020 we made a decision to stick to our plan and try our best to make it happen. As they say its never a good time as things always get in the way of your life dreams.

After months of researching we settled on a car – Landcruiser 200 series and a caravan – Retreat Fraser. We used lots of advice from our friends and as it turned out all their knowledge and help were exactly what was needed to get the dream off to a start. Car arrived first followed by frantic search for upgrade fitouts. Caravan was delivered 2 days before our adventure began.
